Exploring Data Science Salary Trends
Challenge description:
You're a data analyst at a career consultancy firm, specialized in advising clients about career growth and salary negotiation strategies in the tech industry. Your team has been asked by a major client to conduct a detailed analysis of salary trends within data science careers. The client wants a comprehensive overview in the form of highly interactive and customizable dashboard, as well as a properly designed, formatted, and paginated static PDF report for easy distribution to the HR department. The overall goal is to help the client design competitive compensation packages and attract top talents in the data field.
You are free to decide what to analyze and present (e.g., salary trends over time, geographic distributions per role, etc.), or even enhance your analysis with additional data. You're also free in the selection of widgets, conditions for filtering the data and ways to beautify your analysis.
Additionally, provide the client with three key recommendations that came out of your analysis. Include them in written form in the static PDF report, alongside the other elements of the analysis.
Key requirement: You must rely on the KNIME Reporting extension to generate the static PDF report.
Outcome:
An interactive dashboard, and a static PDF report of the analysis with ad-hoc recommendations.
Deliver your solution as a separate workflow and name it: Solution_Qualifications_<your_team_name>. Place your solution workflow in the same folder of this challenge workflow.
Teams are strongly encouraged to submit high-quality work in order to improve their chances of getting maximum points. Don't be afraid to go the extra mile! :)
