Fixed Center of Gravity (Addresses)

This node can be used to calculate the optimal weighted centers of your customers based on already existing center locations. You can use this node to get an indication where to search for new warehouses hubs, distribution centers, etc. Comparing results, the analysis shows the saving potential by moving existing centers, as well.
For this node two input tables are needed. The first table should contain all addresses, for which a fixed center of gravity should be calculated. An address could be for example a customer, supplier, production plant or something else.The second table should contain all fixed center location addresses, that you want to be taken into account. A location should be name and address of existing center that you already have. If you don't fill fixed centers table then the standard center of gravity will be calculated.
Please specify the overall number of centers and distance unit in the configuration dialogue.

In case input and output data need to be saved on the Log-hub Platform, please set save scenario flag to true, fill the workspace id for the workspace in which the scenario should be saved, and give name to the scenario. In case existing scenario should be overwritten, set the overwrite scenario flag also to true, otherwise leave to false.

To use this node you need an API Key from Log-hub Supply Chain Apps. This key you can generate with an Supply Chain Apps Pro Account. More information you can find on www.log-hub.com.

Component details

Input ports
  1. Type: Table
    customer_input
    The customer input needs to contain the name, country, state, zip, city, street and weight of a customer. The mandatory columns are name, country and weight. Please map the fields accordingly in the configuration.
  2. Type: Table
    center_input
    The center input needs to contain the name, country, state, zip, city, street of existing fixed centers. The mandatory columns are name and country. Please map the fields accordingly in the configuration.
Output ports
  1. Type: Table
    customer_output
    The assigned geocodes output contains all customer input columns plus the name, longitude and latitude of the assigned center, and the distance between the center and the customer.
  2. Type: Table
    center_output
    The center output contains the fixed centers and the calculated location of the new centers. The output table contains the general centers information such as name, latitude, longitude, and weight. For the fixed centers there is also distance saving potential of the center.
