This node translates text from one language to another using the googletrans Python library — an unofficial client for the Google Translate web API.
The implementation calls Google Translate’s public web service endpoints through reverse-engineered methods, meaning it is not officially supported or documented by Google.
This approach is intended for experimentation, prototyping, and educational purposes only. It is not recommended for production due to potential instability, request limits, and the possibility of API changes or blocking by Google without notice.

Functionality:

Takes a text column from the input table.
Splits text into smaller chunks if it exceeds the maximum length (chunk_length).
Translates each chunk from the specified source language to the target language.
Returns:
- A new column with the translated text.
- A status column indicating translation success (0) or error (1). If 1, the translation column contains the error message.

Python Environment Setup:
Before using this node, configure the KNIME Python environment to include the required dependencies.
You can use a Conda environment as follows:

conda create -n knime-python-env python=3.9 conda activate knime-python-env pip install googletrans==4.0.0-rc1 pandas py4j

Then, in KNIME:

Go to File → Preferences → KNIME → Python.
Select the created environment (knime-python-env) for Python 3 scripting.
Restart KNIME.

Limitations:

Uses an undocumented API; functionality may break without warning.
Subject to Google’s request limits and anti-bot measures.
Not suitable for high-volume or commercial translation needs. For production, use the official Google Cloud Translation API instead.
