Challenge of the Finale of KNIME Game of Nodes
Challenge details:
You work as a data analyst for a shoe retailer with different shops in Germany. The company's stakeholders want you to answer a few questions on how sales on each day in the month and quarters are going. Before doing that, you'll have to clean up your data a bit. Lastly, you should compile the findings into a report.
In short, the challenge will be about data cleaning, wrangling and reporting. You will find out the details of the challenge during the live event.
Rules:
Solve challenge in 30 min max.
No LLMs/AI allowed (neither in KNIME, nor on other platforms). Exception: K-AI in "Q&A" mode.
No coding allowed (e.g., Python, R, Java, etc.)
Recommended requirements:
List of recommended KNIME extensions: KNIME Data Generation, KNIME Distance Matrix, KNIME Timeseries nodes, KNIME Views, KNIME Reporting, KNIME Column Expressions (legacy), KNIME Math Expression (JEP).
Outcome:
Deliver your solution as a separate workflow and name it: Solution_Finale_<your_team_name>. Place your solution workflow in the same folder of this challenge workflow.
Assessment:
Correctness: your solution does properly what we ask you to do in the tasks. Additionally, consider:
In the event that neither of the teams delivers a fully correct solution, we'll award the team that correctly completed the largest number of steps, or in general that got closer to the correct solution.
In the event that both teams submit solutions that are fully correct, we'll award the team that was faster in submitting the solution (we will verify the time of the latest edits).
In the event that both teams submit solutions that are fully correct and deliver them at exactly the same time, we'll award the team that has used the least amount of nodes.
