The type of link could be selected in the component configuration.
Consumption/Production link has a direction of mass-flow, so for consumption, it starts with metabolite and ends on reaction, and vice versa for production. Stoichiometry coefficients are always positive for Consumption/Production links.
Stoichiometry link always starts with reaction and ends on metabolite. Its stoichiometry coefficient corresponds to the reaction definition being negative for substrates and positive for products.
Gene-reaction Mapping link always starts with gene and ends on reaction. It has no coefficients and demonstrates the presence of control. The type of control should be checked in "gene-reaction rule" field of the reaction table.
