A network graph visually represents relationships between entities as nodes and connections. Each node represents an individual entity, which could be anything from people, tasks, or systems, to abstract concepts, depending on the application. Connections between nodes, or edges, indicate relationships, interactions, or dependencies between these entities. The graph’s structure allows users to observe patterns, clusters, and central nodes, which may play a key role by connecting multiple entities. Network graphs are valuable for exploring complex relationships, identifying central elements, and understanding how individual components interact within a larger system.

The dialog provides configuration options for setting up a network chart in KNIME by defining the entities represented in the graph. Users can assign columns to two main groups, "Nodes Column Group A" and "Nodes Column Group B," which categorize the nodes displayed in the chart.

Each group has customizable tooltip settings to control the information shown when hovering over nodes. The tooltip settings allow users to selectively "Exclude" or "Include" specific columns, providing detailed information relevant to each node.
