KNIME - find the temporary folder on your hard drive
temporary data either gets stored in memory or as a snappy file on a local hard drive in a temp folder "context.workflow.temp.location". Once you save your workflow the data in the nodes with green traffic lights will be saved as ZIP files under the "context.workflow.absolute-path" under the node's names.
