Input flow variable handling differences - components vs metanodes

This workflow demonstrates in a fundamental difference between the way Metanodes and Components interact with multiple flow variable streams.

It would be great to see a configuration option within Component Input that allowed us to differentiate the two streams in the same way that we can handle them within a Metanode.
